It is so important for any society nowadays to have photo visual literacy anywhere. I do believe photo visual literacy is necessary because:
• It makes the life easier for people; for example, to find the mail box, and to find subway/RT stations.
• It helps people to meet their needs; for example, a sign over the bathroom door helps people decide which bathroom to use.
• It keeps people safe all the time, which helps to avoid car accidents and traffic jams.
• It helps people to recognize trade markets, which is easier to find specific stores.
Photo visual literacy is a worldwide language for everyone to understand.

The video in this post shows that Visual Literacy is all around us, and that it really gives our minds a hand in making shortcuts in places where they are desperately needed.
ReplyDeleteHow many people actully stop to read the word STOP on a stop sign? More likely, they see the red octagon looking thing, and in recognizing the symbol know immediately that they must stop. Before the brain even has time to process the letters, we have already interpreted the symbol, and the action that needs to be taken.

this is really a very interesting and smart way tio make people realize about the importance and need of visuals. it also show how we come accross them in our daily like but still niglect the importance .
ReplyDeletegood job soud
It's interesting as well that the written word is made up of visual images that represent ideas. The letter A has not inherent meaning, only the meaning we give it. So, the letters S.T.O.P. are a visual representation in the same way the red octagon sign is. They both command us to stop, but only because we've been taught that is what they mean.
